When in Interlaken: PARAGLIDE
This was a non negotiable for me. Of course there's skiing the Swiss Alps, and kayaking Lake Brienz and fondue experiences. And yes, sky diving was an option, but I wanted to have the luxury of actually enjoying the view while falling back to the ground.
Twin Paragliding had it all. Their customer service exceeded all expectations. The experience is one I'll remember for a very long time.

Prep & Pick Up:
On the day of your flight, you'll meet your instructors at the designated pick-up point in Interlaken. Twin Paragliding offers complimentary pick-up from your hotel or hostel, making the process stress-free.
What to wear?
Comfortable clothing (weather-appropriate layers are key!)
Sturdy shoes (think hiking boots or sneakers—no flip-flops!)
Sunglasses (the glare from the snow-covered mountains is no joke)
Gloves (your hands will get cold, especially if you visit during the winter months)
What to bring?
A GoPro or phone if you want to capture extra footage (but they offer professional photo/video packages). These must be strapped securely to your person.
A jacket in case it gets chilly at higher altitudes
Your wallet for payment after your experience
Once you've arrived, your pilot will get you suited up in the necessary gear and explain the takeoff process. No experience is needed, as they handle everything while you sit back and enjoy the ride!

The Experience: Soaring Above the Swiss Alps
This is where the magic happens.
After a scenic drive up to the launch point, you'll take a short walk to the takeoff site. The views are already breathtaking, but nothing compares to actually being in the air.
As you and your instructor prepare for takeoff, they’ll explain the simple instructions: walk forward, let the parachute catch the wind, and—before you even realize it—you’re in the air.
The moment your feet leave the ground, the sensation is surreal. No sudden drops, no stomach-churning free fall—just smooth, effortless gliding over the jaw-dropping landscape of Interlaken. You’ll see Lake Thun and Lake Brienz spread out, the Swiss Alps towering around you, and the town of Interlaken far below.
If you're up for some adrenaline, your pilot can even throw in a few aerial tricks—twists, spins, and gentle dives that make the experience even more thrilling. Or, if you just want to relax and take it all in, they'll let you cruise through the air at a slower pace.
Flight time? Around 15-20 minutes, depending on wind and weather conditions.
Landing? Smooth and effortless, right back in the heart of Interlaken by the main shopping strip.
